Second Korean War?

Since 1953, North Korea and South Korea have lived a shaky and separate life on the two different areas of the DMZ ( demilitarized zone). The North is poor Communist region with strong military and is ruled with a iron fist. The South is a democratic wonderland that is far advanced in technology then it's counterpart. After sixty years one man is trying destroy the peace surrounding the Korea and that man is Kim Jong Un.
Last month, North Korea announced the armistice( peace treaty to not attack one another) " nullified".  They also threatened to launch a " pre-emptive missile strike" on the U.S and South Korea. The U.S dispatched B-2 stealth bombers over South Korea to intimidate the North. Concerned about Kim's intentions the U.S said it dispense $1 billion for missile defenses in Alaska and California. Former U.S ambassador Donald Gregg said " The Korean peninsula is heading into a difficult and very dangerous period." North Korea has been troubling the U.S for a quite some  time. They detonated their first nuclear bomb in 2006 and three years later they did it again. In 2010 the North revealed they have a uranium-enrichment plant which was thought to be for creating nuclear weapons. Finally in February they once again tested another launch against the wishes of it's only ally, China.

South Korea's president Park Geun-hye said " the North's threats are intended to strengthen Kim's leadership at home and put pressure on the U.S and South Korea". Park has assured that South Korea will strike back against North Korea if attacked but also she wants to build "trust" with them. Even though it seems Kim doesn't like Americans he likes basketball and  is good friends with NBA player Dennis Rodman. He attended a game and party in Pyongyang. After his return Rodman wanted "Obama to do one thing: Call him. He suggested that Kim doesn't want to go war with but his past bizarre behavior adduces otherwise.

I think Kim is a power-hungry dictator who will stop at nothing to further his reign. He doesn't care for his people: it's said that North Korea that there is little to none Internet access, poverty rages across the country, and people live in fear of being being sent to camps if they rebel against him. We have seen his type before and know that they need to be kept in order at all times. What do think America should do?

In conclusion I hope North Korea gets a leader that will finally reunite the North and South together and end this petty conflict. The last thing the world needs is more war. I know peace is hard to obtain but I believe if enough determination is put forth then every issue can be resolved.

Does America Need A Raise?

President Obama wants to raise the minimum wage rate from $7.25 to $9.25 an hour. There has a combination of negative and positive feedback from this choice.

At the State of the Union address Obama said " This single step would raise the incomes of millions of working families. It could mean the difference between or the food bank, rent or eviction, scraping by or finally getting ahead. For business across the country, it would  mean customers with more money in their pockets." Some agree with this action because minimum wage employees would get an extra $3500 a year. Also labor groups say that by raising the minimum wage will give more money to people who will mostly spend it: giving back to the community.

But there are those who disagree with this action. Some people say that by making employees more expensive will boost the unemployment rate which is at 7.7% to possibly 12%. Business owners later gave an example on what could happen if this law is passed. If a restaurant owner in Texas has to boost the dishwasher pay to $9, he'll probably have to raise the cooks already-higher salary as well. This forces the owner to make terrible decisions that will effect the economy including increasing prices, hire fewer workers, and decrease the number of working hours.

I personally think Obama is making a good choice. There are millions of underpaid employees who work hard and don't get anything in return. But honestly I believe Obama should be tackling bigger problems like the issue with North Korea. But he said their is going to be change and he's making sure it happens. Who knows what any of the choices the government make will have a positive or negative effect. The only way to find out is try it and if doesn't work out then find another way to solve it. I personally believe this man can change a lot of things if he says determined. What do you think?

In conclusion I can't wait to see this law passed because I know millions of people want it to and to the people who think otherwise; YOU EITHER CAN LEAVE THE COUNTRY OR MAN UP AND EXCEPT CHANGE.

Dog Mauling

A 14-year old was savagely killed by a pack of dogs last week in UK. Police found her dead when they got a call about a unconscious girl and "out-of-control dogs". She was later identified as Jade Anderson

 American Bulldog

 Bull Mastiff

 Staffordshire bull Terrier

When police arrived on the scene they were approached by a four dogs. Four were killed while one was stuck in the house. Police described the dogs as aggressive. An autopsy will be conducted on the dead dogs to determine why they attacked Jane. Police Superintendent Mark Kenny said it was "deeply distressing incident for everyone involved and they are understandably devastated by what has happened, as are Jade's circle of friends. Later a hypothesis was announced why Jade was attacked. Mark said she could have been attacked because she bought a meat into her friends house. But the attack occurred at lunchtime, after she left and reappeared. Also a Twitter account for her high school put this up " This afternoon we sadly lost one of our students, Jade Anderson. Our thoughts are with her parents and family".

I saw comments on CNN that said that certain dog breeds are more dangerous than others. But I disagree with that statement because I know lots of pit bulls and rottweilers that are some of the friendliest animals I've ever seen. But most of the time I get bite when it comes to smaller dogs like chihuahua and pugs. It doesn't matter what dog breed it is, but how that dog is raised and treated. If a dog gets abused then most likely its going to be vicious and impulsive. When raised with love and care they are blissful. Sometimes this doesn't matter but primarily; how owner conducts his dog is how it will turn out. The family of Jade's friend's probably didn't treat the dogs that good which resulted in her death.

In conclusion I believe the police should check the bodies of the dogs to determine if what they did was possibly triggered because of something inflicted physically or was it just a accident. As I said in my last blog animals live with humans and deserve the same amount of respect as any other species.
